Tension has increased among police officers in Southern region as three senior police officers have been summoned to face the disciplinary committee at police Headquarters in Naggulu Kampala.

Those summoned are Masaka City DPC Bakashaba John Bosco, Masaka City CID ASP Erias Bairuka and Nyendo Police station OC ASP Denis Kanakulya.

The summons have been released just days after Police Disciplinary Court, convicted two police officers number 59762 Sgt Ewalu Julius and number 35544 Sgt Ssessanga Ibrahim who were convicted on two counts; Corrupt practices and cruel behavior respectively.

After this court Police Witness number one (PW1) Kalyango Yasini told press that he was not contented with the court decision to act on junior officers and fails to act on senior police officers citing DPC John Bosco Bakashaba as the most corrupt police officer in southern region.

A reliable source intimate to Naggulu Police Headquarters has told Whisper Eye that police has already replaced the three positions as investigations take course.

DPC John Bosco Bakashaba has been replaced by OC station Masaka CPS Majid Wepukhulu.
