Mujooga: Jose Chameleone denied NUP ticket for being a staunch Catholic. Whisper Eye Reports

Jose Chameleone Catholic faith denies him NUP card in favour of Latif Ssebagala Moslem faith.

Singer turned politician Dr Jose Chameleone real names Joseph Mayanja has been denied Kampala Lord Mayor ticket for National Unity Platform (NUP) party because of his Catholic religion belief according to the score card of the NUP party elections management committee.

Basing on the NUP Elections management committee score card Mr Joseph Mayanja got 03 out of 10 that the denomination is not very good to the majority voters against Al haji Latif Ssebaggala Ssengendo, a Moslem got 08 out 10 that the denomination is relevant to majority voters.

The Committee further stated that the seating Lord Mayor is a Moslem (Haji Erias Lukwago) therefore the Party must bring a Moslem candidate.

Whisper Eye is reliably informed that the religious factor was fundamental to deny Mr Joseph Mayanja NUP ticket among other factors as they unfold day after day.

Mr Mayanja has petitioned NUP party for unclear circumstances under which he was denied a ticket even when he was unopposed by the closure of the vetting process after Al-haji Latif Ssebaggala Ssengendo withdrew from the race for the NUP for Kampala Lord Mayor 2021.
