The Leader of Opposition Hon Mathias Mpuuga Nsamba, who also doubles as Nyendo – Mukungwe county MP in Masaka led the Buddu county football team fundraising drive at Maple Leaf Hotel in Masaka City on Friday.
MP Mpuuga contributed UGX 5m as additional money on his offer of transport for the Buddu football team.
The state minister for microfinance Haruna Kyeyune Kasolo and Kimanya – Kabonera county MP Hon Abed Bwanika each contributed Ug.x 2m.
Others who contributed to the team are Kalungu East MP Katabaazi, Masaka City woman MP Juliet Kakande each UGX 1m, and Masaka district woman MP Joan Namutaawe UGX500,000/= among others.
The pending 2022 Buganda Masaza Cup final between Ssaza Buddu FC and Ssaza Busiro FC will be played on Saturday 4th March 2023 at Wankulukuku Stadium, Kampala.
