Kasanda Govt health workers vow to lay down tools over poor working conditions

Workers in Kassanda District government medical facilities are planning to lay down tools over what they termed as harsh conditions they are working in. #WhisperEyeNews

Health facilities in Kassanda District Local Government have also remained without Primary Health Care services since the First Quarter of 2023.

Facilities like Bukuya Health Centreville IV have remained in total darkness for over 3 months because the government failed to pay for Yaka.


Many healthcare workers in the Kassanda District have not received salaries since March and the district Chief Administrative Officer refused them to fill out claim forms over what he termed as unnecessary at this point in time.

The situation has worsened especially for pregnant mothers who have reached most of the government facilities totally lacking the basic requirements.

Health workers were seen advising them to try private facilities because they do not even have gloves or gauze to use.
