Kampala: Lord Mayor aspirant Mr Mayanja campaign director Henry Lubowa released on police bond. Whisper Eye Reports

Following the Tuesday saga when police blocked the official opening of Kampala Lord Mayor aspirant Mr Joseph Mayanja popularly known as Dr Jose Chameleone, his campaign director Mr Henry Lubowa was arrested by Uganda police.

The police used live bullets, shooting rubber bullets directly to Journalists and Mr Mayanja and his campaign team plus tear gas to block the function.

During the scuffle, Mr Lubowa was arrested and detained at Old Kampala police post.

Mr Mayanja managed to rescue his campaign director from police.

“Thank you all for the sympathises. We are hurting but strong. Despite, every part of me being in pain, I have to keep moving.
We must stand against police brutality,” says Mr Lubowa.

“No Ugandan should be treated inhumanly, like I was on Tuesday.
We are ready amd all Kampala residents are aware that Lord Mayanja 2021 is the solution to the city, ‘Mr Solutions’,” he added.

Mr Lubowa was brutally arrested by the police on Tuesday, tortured and thrown on the police patrol from the office premises of Mr Mayanja at Mengo along Balintuma road in Kampala.
