First son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has today revealed that his father who is also the President of Uganda Gen Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has tasked him to clean up the Ministry of Defence that had been diseased with rampant corruption.

Gen Muhoozi who is also the Presidential Advisor of Special operations took to Twitter and said that his new task will see the Ministry free from the corruption that has been going on for decades.

” President and Commander in Chief has given me the task to clean up the Ministry of Defence. MoD will be saved from all the corruption that has been going on for decades.” Gen Muhoozi tweeted

Corruption is one of the killer diseases that has left Uganda so stagnant in terms of development. A recent report by the IGG showed that every year Uganda loses 10 trillion shillings to corruption.

We wait to see if Gen Muhoozi who has been tasked to clean the mess at the corrupt infected ministry lives to his word.

The Ministry of Defense media team was yet to react to the latest developments.
