Exclusive: Family of Kagimu Umar Bobi Wine’s confidant cries out to Uganda police. Whisper Eye News

The family of Kagimu Umat has appealed to Uganda Police to know the whereabouts of their loved family member arrested by security operatives.

Mr. Kagimu has been a royal and confidant to National Unity Platform (NUP) president Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert popularly known as Bobi Wine.

Kagimu has been arrested today evening at around 15:00hrs from his workplace at the Modern Sarah building at Nasser road.

“We have been called by his friends from Nasser road that Umar has been arrested by security operatives,” says the family member.

“I cannot tell where he (Kagimu) has been taken, but what I knew according to his workmates, he is arrested. I request the police to give us the details about his arrest,” he added.

Mr. Kagimu has been in charge of printing NUP party cards and confidential party documents according to Our reliable sources.
