Covid-19: Uganda bans truck drivers without negative Coronavirus certificate

Uganda has early today banned Truck Drivers without a negative Coronavirus certificate to enter the country. Whisper Eye has learnt .

East Africa leaders statement on covid-19 mooted the idea of a joint medical teams to carry out covid-19 tests to all truckers set to journey

This comes at a time when Uganda coronavirus cases confirmed in a single day rose to 43 with 17 Ugandans.

This is the largest number of coronavirus cases yet to be reported in Uganda.

A source indicates that a directive has been passed on to health ministry officials, security and immigration officers for immediate implementation.

Despite all efforts to get an official communication it was futile despite all efforts however UPDF spokesperson Ricgard Karemire t promises for an official statement later in the day.

Uganda cases now stand at 203 with no registered death with 63 recoveries
