28 new coronavirus pandemic cases have reportedly tested positive for Covid-19 in Uganda. Whisper Eye Reports.
Whisper Eye has learnt that 23 new cases are Truck drivers who arrived from South Sudan taking Uganda’s total number of confirmed coronavirus cases to 281.
The country health ministry, in its daily update this evening of Wednesdayconfirmed these new rising covid-19 cases.
The new cases , 7 new cases are a contact of the previous positive truck driver , a report adds.
All contact positive cases are under Quarantine, the ministry confirmed.
Uganda now has 281 covid-19 cases since march.
Uganda also handed over 7 positive foreign truck drivers to their respective countries .
Uganda has now registered 69 recoveries according to the ministry of health with no reports of death.
Malaba, Busia and Mutukula border points turn out to be the most risky areas as far as Covid-19 is concerned.
