Coronavirus: Uganda cases hit record 741 as 9 test positive

Whisper Eye has learnt that 4 new cases are Truck drivers who arrived via Elegu and via Malaba and Ngomoromo as 5 cases are contacts and alerts from Amuru and Kyotera district.

The country health ministry, in its daily update this morning of Thursday confirmed these new rising covid-19 cases.

All contact positive cases are under Quarantine, the ministry confirmed.

Uganda now has 741 covid-19 cases since march.

Uganda also handed over 31 positive foreign truck drivers to their respective countries .

Uganda has now registered 442 recoveries according to the ministry of health with no reports of death.

Malaba, Busia and Mutukula border points turn out to be the most risky areas as far as Covid-19 is concerned.
