Buhimba United Saints FC held  Paidha Black Angels at home

Buhimba United Saints FC aka the Bunyoro Saints in a stunning away play game of the Fufa Big League 2024/25 season’s competition bagged one point again from Paidha Black Angels FC at Bar Okoro Stadium on Friday.

It was a tense game for Buhimba United Saints FC to share the points with Black Angels FC in a 1:1 draw.

Paidha Black Angels FC, scored in the First half and the Saints found the equalizer in the early 47 minutes of play of the Second half.

The visiting team got two players sent off during the match after getting two red cards.

The first red card was given to a bench player for threatening and abusing the assistant referee and later Arafat, the left back subsequently booked another red card after two yellow cards.

George William Otale, the head coach Buhimba United Saints FC kept commanding his team till the last whistle of the game by the Centre referee although he had two of his players sent off the game.

In a sideline interview with our reporter, Otale, congratulated his men for putting up a spirited fight in the West Nile region just after humiliating Unduparaka FC at their home ground in Hoima city Midwestern Uganda last week.

“We just completed the game; It is a draw by 1:1. I want to thank the players very much for the work well done when we were less, by two people and they did what they could and also want to thank the players for Paidha Black Angels for their efforts. That has come out but we were prepared enough and we hope to give the best in the next game. Otale

Waswa Hassan Dazzo, the captain Paidha Black Angels FC, celebrated a point attributing it to the team work spirit displayed during the match and commended the fans for turning in a huge number for the game.

“I want to thank my boys though we didn’t win but we are gaining a lot of confidence for the next games ahead. I promise we shall make the fans proud”  Dazzo said 

Robert Jakony, the Paidha Black Angels FC Chairman expressed disappointment over failure to collect the maximum three points at home adding that they subsequently take the result in a positive manner.

“The results were not in our favor; football is like that; we shall be experiencing it; we shall lose. Win and draw, which is a part of the game.” The game was very intense, otherwise we enjoyed the game and learnt from our competitor, they are hardworking.” Jakony

PBA has so far secured two points with the hope of improving while Bunyro Saints FC has gained confidence and is prepared to challenge any team and has more points.
