Uganda’s oldest political party “The Democratic Party” has finally submitted allegedly 2 million signatures to the Electoral Commission for the nomination of its President Nobert Mao as a presidential candidate in the coming 2021 elections.

DP’s late submission of voters signatures supporting the nomination of the party’s candidate comes at a time when NRM, FDC , NUP ANT and other independent candidates already submitted their voters nomination signatures endorsing their respective candidates and are waiting nomination  on the 2nd and 3rd of November 2020.

DP out of the cold almost lost all its members of parliament to National Unity Platform a party led by Bobi Wine the Kyadondo East MP.
