Tears as Buganda Kingdom treasure sites at Kasubi Tombs burns to ashes. Whisper Eye Reports.

Buganda Kingdom in grief as one of the treasured traditional sites at Kasubi Tombs in Rubaga Kampala burn into flames again.

Kasubi Tombs are on United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) list and attracts many tourists from within and outside the country.

According to an eye witness who talked to Whisper Eye one of the huts inside the Tombs has caught fire and burnt into ashes.

“The main tomb locally know as ‘Muzibu Azaala Mpanga’ is safe,’ says the Eye Witness.”

Kasubi Tombs (Muzibu Azaala Mpanga) houses the remains of four Buganda Kings, Sir Edward Muteesa II, Daud Chwa, Mwanga Bassamulakkere, and Muteesa I.

Residents and police fire extinguishers have battled to put out the fire, saving near by houses and the main tomb.

No deaths reported and the cause of the fire is not established yet.

Police has started investigations to establish the cause of the fire to its final conclusion
